About Us

The genesis of how we started with a spiritual foundation through our Koinonia Worship Center Men’s Ministry and Practitioners Technical Institute (PTI) is the Doing Arm, while Community Reconstruction, Inc. (CRI) is our legal entity that will advance our trajectory, in the next twenty and more years.

Over the past 20 years we have aimed always to move beyond preaching and into concepts, design and implementation through practitioners of the word, socially, economically, and politically.

None of our boys have served time in the juvenile or criminal justice systems, because it is more than just an after-school program.

The goals of this program are as follows:

  • Empower Black youth with protective and resiliency factors that encourage respect and responsibility for self, family, community, educational and personal achievement.
  • Serve as a deterrent to Black youth who are at risk of not reaching their full potential.
  • Decrease the unemployment rate among unemployed and underemployed Black youth.
  • Provide employability skills training, job skills skills training, certifications and career exploration courses.

Founded in 1999, Community Reconstruction Inc. (CRI), formerly known as Community Reconstruction Housing Inc, is a faith-based, community-based Florida nonprofit 501(c) (3) serving youth and families.
